The Outdoors in Your Back Yard

The confluence of the Midway River and Anderson Creek is adjacent to Lot 4. Both are Designated Trout Streams - for more information see the Northeastern Minnesota section of the Stream Maps on the DNR's web page:
http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/fishing/trout_streams/index.html
Also, have a look at the map of Trout Streams (PDF 1MB) at and around Riverwood.
Each lot was developed to include both open spaces and wooded areas, and all lots incorporate some type of water feature. Of the lots which are still available, Lots 5, 6 and 7 all have significant frontage on the Midway River (260 feet, 314 feet and 329 feet, respectively). Lot 2 has a wildlife pond and frontage on the tributary creek running through Riverwood, and Lots 13, 14 and 15 share access to a pond, in addition to creek frontage; Lots 14 and 15 also each have a wildlife pond. Storm water runoff basins were specifically designed and constructed to become waterfowl habitat, so it is likely you will see geese and ducks on or around these areas. Deer are plentiful, as are other native wildlife, including otter and fox.
Private Open Space and Nature Trail
As if your lot didn't offer enough space, Riverwood was designed to permit each lot access to a nature trail which goes around the perimeter of the 70 acre development. In addition, Outlot A, on the east side of the Midway River, is reserved as a private open space for the use of Riverwood owners
